Australian Cricket Team would be booming with confidence after thrashing India in the 2nd ODI match. Australia won the match by 10 wickets and chased down the target of 118 runs in 11 overs. Mitchell Marsh played a blistering knock of 66 runs in 36 balls where he struck 6 fours & 6 massive sixes. Travis Head too played a fine knock of 51 runs in 30 balls where he struck 10 fours.
Skipper Rohit Sharma would be shell-shocked as they were outplayed in all the 3 facets of the game. India’s entire bowling unit was taken to cleaners by Mitchell Marsh & Travis Head. Losing the match by 10 wickets that too in the ODI format is quite humiliating given the fact that ODI WC is just 7 months away.

It looked as if Indian batters weren’t ready for the steep challenge. Mitchell Starc was the wrecker in chief where he took 5 wickets & gave away 53 runs in his 8 overs. Steve Smith’s decision to include Nathan Ellis into the side in place of Glenn Maxwell (*injured) did wonders as he took the key wicket of star batter Virat Kohli who was looking ominous and dismissed him for 31 runs in 35 balls when he struck 4 fours. Not a single Indian batter scored 35 runs which are unacceptable in this modern cricket. India got folded for 117 runs in 26 overs.
Australia has made a statement that they are not a finished product and now have squared the ODI Series by 1-1. It won’t be a surprise if we see wholesale changes in the Indian side for the 3rd ODI as Suryakumar Yadav could be replaced by Ishan Kishan; at the same time, Jaydev Unadkat may come into the team to bolster the bowling lineup as we witnessed how Starc created havoc with his angle & immaculate lines & lengths.

Twitter Reacts as Australia win 2nd ODI against India
Well, this ODI lasted less than a 20 over game . 37 overs across both innings, and kaam tamaam.
Forget this , and move on Team India. Need to play the swinging ball better. #INDvsAUS— Virender Sehwag (@virendersehwag) March 19, 2023
This is some hammering India received#INDvsAUS

Australia have chased down India’s target of 118 in 11 overs in the second ODI. They have won by 10 wickets with 39 overs to spare. That’s sheer embarrassment for the home team. #INDvAUS

Marsh and make short work of winning match. Looked a completely different pitch from the one India had struggled so badly in. But the target was measly and never likely to trouble the Aussies

10 wicket defeat a bad omen for India in a WC year. If I’m not wrong, Kapil Dev and MSD are the only Indian captains to not suffer a 10 wicket defeat in ODI and they’re the only 2 WC winning captains.
(PS: Hoping Rohit changes this trend and comes back stronger ❤️)#INDvsAUS
